Responses for atmynumber.com
Just a few days after launching, we've been getting a great responses from the web community & the users! :D
Our server actually froze for about two hour due to too many people logging into our site at one time.
Not bad, only for a viral marketing, so far.
Server now upgraded, and serving more people at once.
Thank you, users!

atmynumber is open!
HTTP://WWW.ATMYNUMBER.COM
atmynumber is finally open!
A team made up of bunch of really smart people (I mean, really! We got three MIT & NYU Ph.D candidates, two Cornell graduates, a Harvard graduate, and two awesome web designers!) sat down together, and are creating a new platform to integrate the old existing web world with the new growing mobile world.
Don't be confused! Mobile internet is not what we're aiming for. That's been done and played throughout many smartphones. (Go, iPhone!)
In order to achieve (what we call) this new era, we designed, planned, and created atmynumber. It is our first step to integrate the two different technology worlds which we thought would be the best way to approach people without confusing the users.
It may be an old idea to integrate a phone number (mobile ID) to an email address (web ID), but there never has been a better time to launch this service. Until now, only the privileged people had mobile phones, and the rest just had to wait until the cost of owning mobile phones went down.
However, a study shows that in 2008, approximately 30% of the population discontinued their landlines only to carry mobile phones as their primary phone numbers, and 240 million people subscribed to mobile phones here in the U.S. alone! That's 80% of the total population!
Of course, atmynumber is not only limited to the mobile users. Servicing landline users and fax-line users as well, we plan to offer businesses and businessmen a way to communicated with their customers better.
Our future plans and products are…… something we can't tell you, yet. Our programmers are working real hard as we speak, but what we're planning and how we'll achieve it, will have to wait. Just be patient! We're constantly developing and evolving everyday.
<<<<<<<<<<------------------------------>>>>>>>>>>
Did you know? Our motto is ¨Simple and Easy.¨ We're here to make your life simpler and easier. Incase you're not satisfied with our service, or you think you're possibly getting too many junk mails through atmynumber email address, just delete the atmynumber account. Although we have our own junk mail filters which protects you from (everyone's enemy) spammers, if you don't like the service, deleting an account is as easy as creating an account. Just click and enter the password, and that's it!
Don't worry. We are very serious about your privacy issues, too. We will never keep any of the emails we forward, and once you delete the account we will never keep any of your information on our server.
In addition, our server is secured and everything is done through automatically designed programs. All of the passwords are encrypted (not even we can figure out your password), signing up & deleting the account is automatic, so you can use the service as soon as you sign up.
Incase you're still worried, we will give you our words : We will never, ever send you any solicitation emails or sell your email address to a third party. Once again, our ultimate goal is the web+mobile era, not sending spam mails.
<<<<<<<<<<------------------------------>>>>>>>>>>
atmynumber is not your separate email account. It's a means of sharing an email address. Although you're welcomed to, we don't expect our users to use atmynumber service as their primary email address. But when you share your email address over the phone or out in public, oh boy, that's a real annoyance. Now, you can just say, "Email me atmynumber!" and we'll forward the emails to your primary email addresses. No separate email account to create or maintain, and no separate address book to carry around. Once email has been exchanged once, you can start using your primary email addresses as you would everyday.
As of now, the receiver has to have an atmynumber account to properly receive the email. But we're currently designing a program to automatically send an email to non-atmynumber account. Once that's been set up, communicating with your friends and family will be easier than ever. Just send your friends an email from any of your mobile contacts, and we will forward the emails to their email addresses.
<<<<<<<<<<------------------------------>>>>>>>>>>
You may ask, why not just use text messaging service? Because we don't limit the sizes of emails. Sending just a ¨Hi" email to a 10Mb attachment, we're doing this for the good of the mankind, not for the mobile service providers. Sending and receiving text messaging fees tend to add up.
We're going to add two more options in the near future: (1) Business Mode, which will be designed for businesses primarily, and (2) Business User Mode, which will for designed for primarily office workers. But don't wait! We'll make it easy to switch between account options at a click of a button.
For any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to send us an email to support@atmynumber.com. We will try to answer all of your questions in a timely manner. But we're full time students and full time employees at our regular jobs! Even if we can't answer you within a few hours, that doesn't mean we forgot about you!

Thank you for your interest, and hope to see you at http://www.atmynumber.com!
